Youth and Regional Development Association (YRDA-ATDR) is a youth, apolitical and non-governmental organization that militates in favour of Romanian society development.
Established in 2001, the association developed an activity of financial support for children in need, broadening its activity field in 2004 through projects developed for youth from Oltenia region, together with partners from the country or abroad.
Objectives:
- to promote the developing activity of creative capacity, the development of youth scientific, technical, artistic, cultural and intellectual creation;
- to work with and for children and youngsters from disfavoured areas (rural localities, mining towns) and to fight against discrimination on any kind;
- to develop educational programs for children, youngsters and persons with special needs;
- to support activities of protecting the environment through development of projects related to environmental protection together with other associations and authorities;
YRDA-ATDR carries out the following activities:
- seminars, conferences, round table discussions, trainings, youth exchanges, courses for Gypsy children minority (English, computer and animation), projects in partnership with public administration and nongovernmental organizations;
